It would be nice to have note.GETtextcolor and note.GETbackcolor. A workaround is possible with the win plugin. But for the textcolor it is only possible with the win plugin because the notes frame does not change with the fonts size - what is an other problem for displaying notes on high resolution screens... But for sure there will be a fix for the frame...one day..since the resolution gets higher and higher.
