Here's what I suggest: You, Alan & I (and anyone else) will discuss
guidelines and we'll consult you on technical points. Alan & I will split
the work and submit version-numbered copies for review. We'll merge each
others' changes into a main version-numbered doc as they are mutually agreed
upon and approved by you. So all editors will have their own FTP folders
with version-numbered working copies and there'll be a main folder for
approved doc versions.

You could take ownership of the main docs and do all final merging of
changes yourself or you could delegate.

What have you and Alan have done so far?

I am happy to put the latest souce for all the help somewhere.

Can you give me until Sunday noon June 20, Toronto time?

If it is possible to do this colloboratively, that would be great. I
would like to post my sources, then would only participate if people
suggested changes that I thought were factually incorrect.

For future releases, I am happy to make the help colloborative -- ie
I will add description of new features and people can then edit, and
I will issue help with installation package.

I see David has offered somt ftp space. Please let me know how you
would like to proceed for upload and colloborative effort. How do
you make sure only one person is changing at a time?
