I've been using PP for years and presently version 3.8 (latest
download) under WinXP SP1 on an Asus A7N8X-X. My problem is that
certain apps won't launch properly from PP, though they will launch
just fine from other launchers and of course from explorer.

Process Explorer, for example, dies with an "Error starting Process
Explorer driver: the parameter is incorrect." message.
DriveCrypt "can't find vxd."
Easy CD-DA Extractor says "not enough memory."
F-Prot "can't find fpio32.dll" in its own directory. (I tried PP
launching F-Prot from a Windows shortcut that explicitly starts it in
its own directory, but still got the same message.)

Previously The Bat's message viewer would only show incomprehensible
lines, and Nero couldn't find any CDRW drives, but those problems went
away and I'm not sure why they did.

There may be others. I haven't launched some apps in a while.

Anybody else notice such odd behavior by PP? I wonder what the problem
is. Seems to have something to do with some programs not finding
components, paths somehow geting trashed.
