heh...My brain has been working since yesterday when I played a little here at work with Wink. I've been thinking of how the whole "newbie to powerpro" training will go. Right now, I'm thinking of adding a link that will have a framed page on my www.pcrei.com/ppro/files/index.html page that will allow you to scroll thru and see/run multiple wink tutorials that will open in their own frames. The flash, for what they're doing keeps them amazingly small (700'ish k for Alex's tutorial, but look how much you learn from that =) ). Keep your eyes peeled. Anyone that wants to make their own, please do. I'll put them into whatever I build should you wish to share. I'm sure we could build quite a repository quite quickly! Does wink let you specify default item looks without having to choose them with each screen? Might be something I'll have to look into. > At the moment I'm using a script to open the menu with the checkboxes, > and that script quickly scans the open windows and does a couple > CL.SetIcon() commands accordingly. One thing to keep in mind Alex...the great think about keeping items in the .pcf is when calling those items, it reduces i/o on the computer. Probably not much of a real-world performance difference, but it can be. I had mistakely run a monitor that was calling a .runscript and when I checked the task manager later, it was rediculous amount of i/o read/writes. I'm sure that part of the hdd was quite happy to get a break when I moved it to the .pcf =) Anyhooo...just something to keep in mind.
