Unfortunately, the answer is not totally simple, but there is a
solution to this problem. First of all, it has nothing to do with
PowerPro. When Firefox sets up the file associations for http, ftp,
https, and the others, it enables DDE in the "open" definition. The
DDE is what causes this error message. I'm not going to try to teach
anyone how to deal with modifying file association definitions in the
various forms of Windows. Much too messy. If you know how, go for it.
If you need to find out how, there are other resources. If you go to
whatever "registered file types" dialog is appropriate for your
version of Windows, (in Win2k you click the tools/folder options/file
types menu item in the menu bar of an open folder) you can edit the
definition for "open" for URL:Hypertext transfer protocol and the
others. Simply uncheck the "Use DDE" check box and the problem will go
away. Alternatively for you Registry muckers, in HKCR/http, HKCR/https
you can delete the DDEEXEC key from .../shell/open to accomplish the
same thing. Personally I used the file associations dialog, but YMMV.

Disclaimer!!!!!!!!!! This worked for me. I make no guarantees that
it will work for anyone else. When you muck about with file
associations or the registry, you can make stuff stop working and work
wrong. Don't blame me!

If you screw up http and https, you can get back to the way it was by
telling IE to make itself the default browser again and then telling
Firefox to make itself the default browser.
