Here's something strange: the error occured at line 84 according to PowerPro, while the command that seems to have caused the trouble is actually at line 109. > That happens, for example, when I enter "ARB_Add". Here are some ideas that come to my mind: * Are you typing exactly ARB_Add, without any surrounding space or any other information? * Is this happening for every alias, or just that particular one? Have you tried defining your own aliases manually in the script? * Are normal PowerPro commands accepted and run properly? * Have you tried shutting down and restarting PowerPro? > Using ARB 3.0 from May 22nd (re-release), revised vec-plugin and > PPro 3.8.13 (using std-cfg), never had earlier ARB-version installed > (so it can not be a version-conflict). I can't think of anything else to try at this precise moment, since you have fulfilled all of the script's requirements. > BTW, while we're at it: wouldn't it be possible to store > user-aliases in a separate file, in order to make upgrading easier? This would be extremely simple, but then everything wouldn't be contained in the one script! I agree that upgrading would be easier but I didn't give that too much thought because I don't plan on releasing new versions very often. > (And in order to be able to use the ARB-script without any mods, it > would also be nice to have a possibility to define the preferred > editor outside of the script (maybe in the user's alias-file?) If I were to create another version of ARB that uses an external file for the commands, then I could leave it up to the user to define an alias to launch the editor with the appropriate file. The ARB script itself would still need to be modified to point to the external alias file. I'm sorry to hear that ARB isn't working for you straight off! -- Alex Peters / Melbourne, Australia PowerPro v3.8.19 / Windows XP ------------------------ Yahoo!
