I just thought of a subroutine method which preserves local vars too.

It uses three lines for every jump to a subroutine:
local nextlabel = "label7"
jump subroutine
@label7

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

;; this is test1.powerpro
; we are in the main section here
debug one

local nextlabel = "label7"
jump subroutine
@label7

debug success
quit

@subroutine
; whatever the subroutine does
debug two
jump &(nextlabel) ;; (a syntax error)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The only problem is that Jump will not accept an expression,
not even an expression inside &( ), only a literal label.

Feature request:
could we either have a new form of jump such as script.jump(expr)
or change the Jump command to accept &(variable) as its parameter
as well as accepting literal labels
please?
