I don't have EditPlus installed but a quick look in its FAQ indicates that, like most editors, EditPlus has a built in feature to do that. Just set up a "user tool" with the path to Dreamweaver as the command, and "$(FilePath)" as the argument.
I don't have IrfanView installed here either, but I would expect any image viewer to be able to send the viewed file to an image editor. XnView (which I use) can. Maybe you could look for yourself in IrfanView's Help. If you often use Fireworks for images, you could put a link to the program in your SendTo folder and/or add Fireworks to the Right Click menu for image file types. Then it would appear among the "shell commands" in the image viewer program. - - - - - - - - - - - While not necessary for EditPlus (nor for IrfanView either I bet) a variation of Alex's script would be useful for any app which cannot already do what John Morse asked for. I wrote "a variation of" because the script has to be customised for each program. It would be great if there were a more general way to do it. I wonder if there is a system api call which a new plugin service or a new function could use, to retrieve the full path of the doc loaded in an application? ------------------------ Yahoo!
