The script would only attempt to tag multiple windows if it is passed
a caption list that matches more than one window.

Is there something I have misunderstood? I don't quite understand what
what would be made optional since the script would only do either one
of:

* Minimise a single window to a tag; or
* Minimise a group of windows to a tag.

If one of those actions causes problems for a window then the other
will have no better an effect, so the user would avoid tagging windows
of that program.
