Well, that means ".mf" will not do anything. But when you enter ".me" for ".mention", those three characters are enough to launch the macro. Why don't you use another intro-char which is likely not to be used in "real applications", e.g. "#" or "^" etc. (I'm using german kbd, so what is easily accessible for me might differ from your foreign kbd, but I think you get the idea) Cheers Michael

I defined the hotkey as the period and then defined a couple of test macros as the docs indicate. For example .me will be replaced with my email address. The problem I am having is that if I type anything that starts with .me such as .mention then that also gets replaced as <emailaddr>tion which is not what I want. Is there a setting I need to change to make this work? I suppose I can always define the macro name as "me " with the space at the end but would rather not as that is not clearly visible if I ever have to come back and debug it.
