Perhaps you are running a different version of Windows to Ozkan? I
know that Tweak UI for Windows 98 and Tweak UI for Windows XP are
drastically different.

I can't offer a solution here but I have some advice that you may wish
to hear if you plan on using PowerPro to do things like switch
windows or perform automations between more than one window, then you
will want to have this box unchecked anyway as PowerPro will not be
able to perform its tasks as expected otherwise.

Nonetheless, PowerPro would not be causing this checkbox reversal.

This is a far-fetched claim but from what you have mentioned it sounds
like you might have a corrupt registry. If you are running Windows 98
then it is possible that the operating system is restoring a
particular registry backup each time you boot the computer.

This would definitely explain the lack of Office recent items if
Office stores such information in the registry. If I'm right, then
perhaps the backup that the OS is restoring doesn't contain any Office
recent items.
