Yes - it's a real PITA, I run Apache, so hate having IIS sitting there merrily alerting the script kiddies to my existence..
Thanks so much for this Alan, hadn't tried actually Disabling it. Regarding dependencies, IIS Admin depends on Protected Storage & Remote Procedure Call. Depending on IIS is WWW Pub. Svc but I've got that off anyway. (and that behaves & stays off) I'll disable it & reboot & report back, thanks heaps!
