Currently, I have several PP bars that appear depending on an active window (each bar being an actual bar, not a single bar with format context sections). I use them to store testing userid/password combinations for several applications that I develop. While this works great, I would like to add hot keys to save myself an unnecessary mouse action.
Looking through the help on hot keys, I believe I've identifed several options: 1) have the same hot key defined several times, and use the target value to figure out which one to execute 2) Have the hot key defined once, and then call a script that figures out the active window and runs the desired commands. What I would like to do is when a specific bar appears, be able to automatically assign a hot key, and when the bar disappears be able to unassign that hot key. This has the advantage of keeping everything somewhat together (associated with the bar) instead of associated with the bar and then also on the hot key tab or another script file. (Ideally, the hot key would call a bar item, but that's another day) Is there a way to do this? I imagine I could try hooking the window event and build the bar/destruct the bar using scripts. Then the script could also handle the hot key. BTW, can/should you destruct a bar if you've dynamically built it? Before I try that though, I want to elimate the probability that I'm missing something obvious. Thanks, Paul ------------------------ Yahoo!
