Do you mean the Windows TaskBar or a PowerPro "active bar" which shows tasks? I used to get a button called GDI+ appearing on my PowerPro active bar sometimes. It only ever happened when Word was open, especially if I had two or more Word documents open. I haven't seen it for months though -- if I remember correctly the setting which fixed it was checking "One active button per task" on Command Lists, Setup, All Bars.
