No, {slow} and {fast} have nothing to do with these settings.  
Instead, they refer to two different ways Windows makes available to 
send keys:  Journal Hooks (fast) and keyboard events (slow).

The issue with macros had to do with the implicit, internal keys 
command which sent the backspaces to erase the macro name.  For 
obscure reasons, this keys command might use slow or fast method, 
depending on the associated macro command.

All this is gone in latest beta.  PowerPro uses fast method of 
sending backspaces.  You can change this with "Hide Icon" checkbox 
if it causes problems for a macro entry.
