Hi Sean,

I guess I expressed myself not clear. I simply want to show the list of
all windows incl. hidden ones, but filter out some unwanted _hidden_
ones. Unfortunately, you cannot solve this with PP-options only.

[skip if you don't want details]

Just assign "window show menu hidden" to a hotkey, start firefox/moz,
winamp and lots of other programs. Switch to another desk and trigger
your hotkey. Then try to switch to a specific window. You'll see that
the list is sorted by name, not process/exename, thus sometimes it's
difficult to pinpoint some self-title-modifying windows a la Winamp,
Firefox, Thunderbird, RDP, Irfanview, etc. Some of them have lots of
other miscellaneous windows, such as Firefox' "DispatchWindow" or
"XPCOM: EventReceiver", etc. I want to display all but XPCOM of Firefox.
There are other nontransient hidden windows that I want to filter out as
well: NETDDE Agent, MCI Command handling window (multiple), DDEServer
Window, Diskeeper Service, SysFader, PowerMeter, HkWndName, etc.

Interestingly no task manager that I know of (TaskMgr, TaskInfo, Process
Explorer, etc) is capable of showing hidden *windows*. They all can dump
gozillions of details on processes but not windows. heh :)

[skip end]

This list is also important in other aspects. If I get the list
correctly I could also program my own "TaskSwitch-bar", much like an
improved "*Vdesk Arrange" or "*Vdesk SwitchMenu"-window, with *my* own
sorting options.

Try it yourself! The script I've posted may be a nice starting point to
experiment. Apart from that the lists of "window("anywindow")" & "window
show menu hidden" are different, there's this problem that
window("anywindow","*") doesn't match all windows, I've realized that on
Putty. Only when I say window("anywindow","=putty") then I can see my
Putty windows. This might be the mother of all problems.

@Bruce: I guess this thing with putty is a bug?

ps: Show all tasks from all vdesks is *not* an option, personally I
think it nullifies the tidiness of vdesks. Plus, I already find how PP
arranges the active buttons quite baffling with separate vdesks, there's
no need to make it worse. Pls see the screenshots in the dir above.
