If I setup the following in my PPro config:

I get the following written out:
win.keys("�")
So, I assume that what you're trying to tell me is that if I want
just the symbol, "�" written out, my *Keys designation should be:
*Keys {216}. When I use this designation, I *do* get the correct
result; i.e., simply the character "�" written out.
HOWEVER... I still encounter the same problem within Wordpad; i.e., a
second (or third, or fourth, etc.) invocation of *Keys {216} fails to
write out... UNLESS, as mentioned previously, I first focus out and
back into the Wordpad window... or change the window size before
subsequent invocations.
