That is not a rumour. I ran PowerPro on Linux with Wine once. I even posted screenshots to the Files section.
Some things didn't work. But many others did. Not a bad start, but not a very promising ending either. You'll certainly run into design limitations sooner or later. I wonder if detecting window titles and resizing windows worked. I don't remember. That surely is one PowerPro feature I would miss. I used to do a lot of scripting with PowerPro. Now I do it all with another language and get much better results. KDE has good features and a good API too. I suggest that one study it and use it in conjunction with some scripting language. Probably Bash.
