Would this still be the case even if those bars weren't visible when
the note was closed? Or do I need to disable the bars completely, even
though they're not visible?

I'm assuming it will be in the Open folder, as it re-opens when I
restart PowerPro, but I will check before restarting PP next time it
happens.

The note rolled up, then PP shut down.
