I've uploaded one more version which has a couple of safety checks in it to try to make sure all tray icons are captured. Unfortunately, I have not been able to test them, as I almost never lose tray icons on my machine. I am not sure about your last sentence, but if you mean should I try installing pprotray as a service: I don't know how to do this. I think services have to be written differently than ordinary programs for XP. Any, I hope the latest helps. I am running out of ideas.
