You are right, this is a glitch.  Unfortunately, the code which 
displays icons in menus is quite convoluted already to handle all 
the possibilities of command lists, *menu folder, etc.  So I don't 
want to touch it to try to fix this as I will likely break something 
else.  You can define an empty icon.

You cannot.  If you turn icons on for a menu, PowerPro will allow 
room for them, even if an individual item does nto show an icon.
