An update to my situation...
this seems to work real well:
http://legacy.sheltonbbs.com/~jmmorse/screen2fireworks.gif
(Print screen button to capture the screen, then press "pause" button)
{can anyone tell me how to automate the Print Screen key?}
Key = pause
Enter command:
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks MX\Fireworks.exe
Show at start = max
Top Most [checked]
Enter more commands:
*Wait For(ActiveWindow("*Fireworks*"))
*Keys {to *Fireworks*}{w2}^n{enter}{w2}^v
