I have made the complete script (now it is 11 k long) which:
- calculates start and end of the monthly period (for me: 16th to
the 15th next month), and calculates its lenght (28,29,30 or 31 day)
- uses DUmeter log as a soruce from which I total the data traffic
in a period, and
- gives a display of planned average consumption for today and the
current consumption (or the price if I went over the limit).

At the same time, I have used an extra keyboard key to dial to the
Internet: now it dials over my script and refuses to dial if I am
near or over the limit (unless I start the dialing request again)
which was my main reason for wanting this operation to go through
the PP.

My problem was that the DUmeter, nice application for displaying the
network traffic does not save the traffic data until the midnight,
so my calcualtions were current only until yesterday :) So, I
thought to make all the traffic tracking with PP, but after a
moment, I thought of using PP plugin to track only the data for the
current day.

I have solved that now with the plugin and now my script is done,
but i will most certanly check the proggy you are mentioning. Thanks
for the recomandation.
