Thanks all. This workaround fixed it. David's explanation was on the mark, I experience frequent powerpro hangs and a few crashes and I use vdesks. Crashes are usually due to some problem with explorer that passes down to powerpro, I think. Hangs, I noticed, happen most often when I'm running irfanview thumbnails and photoshop, who knows why.
