Very similar - my sin was using Opera, but I didn't realise at
the time that that might be the cause. It was kind of annoying
to be fully legal but still unable to get past the gate.

Now I realise from your message that I could have done it by
switching to IE or by simply clicking a radio button -- at the
time I didn't notice the radio buttons you mention.

For the sake of those who need inexpensive computing ;) I am
glad to hear there is a way round, because I would prefer it
if participating in the global info culture were a right
rather than a priviledge. In some places the dominant OS costs a
few hour's income. In other places it costs more than a month's income.
So I reject rich corporations' message that informal participation
should always be regarded as "theft".
As you can see, I'm never reluctant to share my off topic opinions :)

Regarding the more On topic part of your message,
thanks for the informative quote from that MS help...

Wow, yet another way to do stuff!
I think for PowerPro users, who have the option provided by
Russell's keytrap to use ANY key as another modifier, which
I assume can include one or more of the extra multimedia keys,
using Caps Lock for two more shift states would probably be
harder to do fluently than using keys such as Webcam
as extra modifiers (if "more shift states" is synonymous
with "more modifiers").
Of course that's only an opinion about the ergonomics of that
particular example. It's interesting to hear that the keyboard
is potentially even more flexible than I had imagined.

best regards,
Alan
