I can confirm this behavior here. I never paid much attention to it, 
because the only time this computer crashes is when I try to do too 
much with it at one time - and then I figured it was all just a big 
mess caused by computer malfunction, and thought no more of it.

But yes, for quite some time now I've noticed that if any of my 
recurring *Message alarm windows happened to be on the screen when 
the computer crashed, they were history - completely gone from pproconf.
