It's okay now, I've been in intensive therapy for the last 24 hours.

Hmmph.

I'm not to keen on supporting unsupported feature of autoIt,
especially something as potentially dangerous as deleting chunks of
the registry.

the services in the reg plugin that delete4 stuff are hedged around by
constraints: There's a ini key you can set to force confirmations if
you try to delete something, and if I remember you're not allowed to
delete a key which has subkeys.

If you can direct me to some discussion on some autoIt site that
convinces me that their code for deleteRegKey and deleteRegValue
is regarded as stable, and which gives my exact details of their
arguments and return types, I'll be happy to interface to them.

Meanwhile I notice I based au3.dll on 3.1.0 and they've moved onto
3.1.1. I'll update my autoIt installation and see if there's anything
else different.
