Another option is to use UltraMon*, which has a nice command line "toggle"
switch. Simply bind the following to a hotkey/button/alias etc:
G:\UltraMon\UltraMon.exe /t

That switches my secondary monitor on and off as needed.

It's not free, and I don't know of a similar free program that does this
though. If I only wanted to do what you want, I'd use the solutions already
posted, but UltraMon has some other nice features.
