PowerPro allows \r alone, \n alone, or the pairs \r\n or \n\r to 
represent end of line; those of use who have used manual typewriters 
would expect to have to both return the carriage and advance the 
platen to start a new line.  

Note that \r does not mean a backslash followed by an r, it means 
the internal ascii character CR, which can be represented in 
PowerPro strings by \r if backslash is the escape character.

I am not sure, as in the above you have backslash then r, not CR.
