There are a number of ways, all involving some form of *window close + handle
or external utility + process id

You can retrieve process id with win.getprocessid (plugin call)
You can retrieve handle with win.handle and in countless other ways
Google for command-line external utilities. There are many.
Run the external utility with *exec dos ...
or with win.runfile

More info: do a search for "kill" in the group list.
I did - with Xnews on the gmane news mirror - and found 2 threads:
Xref: news.gmane.org gmane.comp.windows.power-pro:16905
Xref: main.gmane.org gmane.comp.windows.power-pro:2288

OT, does anyone know if gmane carries the yahoo group original posting id and
where?
