Just to confirm it is not the menu command, try the stroke horizontal hot key tied to something easy like *message test The mouse stroke is done with a quick jerk or pivot of the mouse where the mouse cursor should go quickly left and then right (or right and then left) on the screen in as straight a line as you can manage. Each leg of the back and forth movement must be at least as wide as min length setting. The whole back and forth motion can take no longer than max time setting.
