No idea why Win98 is  behaving that way.  All I did was shift the 
order in teh source code of a few of the tick boxes with the hope that 
less used ones would become unusable in Win98.

All I can suggest is to stick with the previous pproconf which seems 
to win98 seems to have fewer issues with.
