Ahhh...  and duhhh.  :) 

Yep, that works -- transparent bar takes on the colour of whatever is 
below it.  And- wow!!  Hadn't tried that before, looks great!

Doesn't seem to be anything for transparency in MiscPlugin, 
incidentally.  (I don't need this functionality tho, so is cool.)
