Hi Sean, I use Avast!, swapped to it from Norton, but haven't noticed any system/performance issues at all. Nor any problems with hotkeys. (I'm not using any KeyTrap stuff but have a heap of hotkeys plus am using system & window hooks.. is that what you mean by kb/mouse hooks?) In fact, I have better system response now as Norton was a complete hog! Avast is great, easy transition from Norton, too.
