dll plugin works fine as-is with up to 23 args; so Sean's recent example
illustrating how to get properties dialog for a file coule include this
local sei = ;;+
dll.create_struct("ui ui ui s s s s i i i i ui ui ui ui", ;;+
60, 0x44C, "hWnd", "sVerb|sFile|sParam|sWork",1, ;;+
"hInst| | | | | |hProc")
or, in pp 4.4.04, this:
local sei = ;+
dll.create_struct("ui ui ui s s s s i i i i ui ui ui ui", ;;+
60, 0x44C, "hWnd", "sVerb", "sFile", "sParam", "sWork", ;;+
1,"hInst", "", "", "", "", "", "hProc")
I'll alter docs for dll plugin to cover this, but won't for now issue
a new version.
Also adding the following to dll docs:
"If you're specifying lots of arguments whose values will be skipped
or ignored, it's safe, if you know what you're doing, to use any
<type> as long as it's exactly the same width as the type the function
is expecting. So for instance you can omit the unsigned (U) prefix;
long, int and DWORD all specify 32-bit integers and are
interchangeable. But you can't use a short in place of a long; and
I'd avoid using a pointer type in place of a scalar, or vice versa.
If you're actually going to provide values or retrieve values via a
parameter, I'd suggest you get the type exactly correct."
