Hello Deen,

> how do i find the window class for a given window/program?

You can use Exec WindowInfo as the command for a hotkey
or for a bar button. When you click it, a yellow info tip
appears with lots of info about the window under the mouse.
Just move the mouse pointer over the window in question.
The window's class is the last item on the bottom line.

To close the info thing, use your Exec WindowInfo button
or hotkey again.

If you want to know what all those window info items mean see
Help, Contents, Built in Commands, *Exec, "See mouse cursor
position and window information".

By the way, for that autorun solution which Bruce described,
it is not essential to use c=classname as the label for
your item in the autorun list.
You can use any of PowerPro's standard "caption list" methods
to identify which window you want that autorun item to be
applied to.

For example you can use: *Firefox
as the item's label.
There's no need to translate it into a class name first.

I think Bruce recommended you use c=PowerProNote for the scenario
you described in your first message because that will catch
all PowerPro notes, even though they have different titles
which might change.

So whether you use *PartTitle*, or c=classname, or any of the other
"caption list" methods, depends on which one is the surest way to
identify your target window.

See Help, Index, caption lists, caption lists
for a full description about the captionlist parameter,
which is useful to understand for many PowerPro commands
and functions as well.
