For many programs you could use their main menu > File > (recent)
using Keys and the underlined letter of each menu item
for example in MS Word and Excel it is Alt+f then 1
C:\pathto\WINWORD.EXE
wait.for(1500,activewindow("*Microsoft Word*"))
keys %f1
quit
for photoshop: keys %fr1
Alternatively, if you mean to restore your last Windows session
consider hibernation
