Can I assume that file.watchfolder is picking up system changes rather
than doing a folder walk? It's just that I might be watching a huge
amount of files in a large hierarchy and the walkfolder approach may
be a little cpu-intensive?

BTW, is there a better call for the existence of a volume than
b = validpath("Z:\\*.*")
??
It does the job but it looks a bit. . . er. . . clumsy.
