Alan, thanks for pointing this out. However I do use
reply not start a 
new message.

My config: I use the mailing list mostly, not the
Yahoo groups on the 
web. And I am using thunderbird for getting / replying
to these mails. 
It may be the extra [power-pro] that TB prepends to
the message subject 
(since I sort the incoming messages into a [power-pro]
folder).

Does this message look out of place to you as well? 
I'll also respond 
through the web to see how the threading looks
different.
