Yep, v4.5 RC1 is much more responsive than the later Beta's under
load. I was purging the cache in Forte Agent newsreader (which is very
disk intensive), and the moment I moved my cursor to the top of the
screen, my PowerPro bar appeared. I was even able to start a program
with it. You can't do this with the later Beta's. DVD burning still is
a bit of a problem. I had just finished a burn with Nero, and I
clicked 'Done' (to make Nero go back to the image composing screen),
and went to open my PowerPro bar. It wouldn't. Nero was taking it's
time going back to that screen too, so obviously Nero can still bring
this RC1 version to a halt (once Nero did go back to that srceen,
PowerPro was able to open the bar). I'll probably go back another few
Beta's before this RC1 I think. The DVD burn was finished - there
should be no problems with PowerPro displaying its bar in this
circumstance.

My bar configuration hasn't changed since the early 4.4 Beta's, and as
I mentioned in another message, I'm only using PowerPro for a program
launcher. No funny stuff, no scripts, no plugins, no *info, no {insert
whatever you care to mention here}. Only using the basic functionality
of a program means that you can't blame a problem at the users end -
there's something wrong in the program itself.
