> Can you please label the versions better? After seeing Alan's reply > today
Here are the conventions I follow: - When I upload a new beta, I always announce to group. If someone finds a serious error in it (ie an important feature fails or performs badly), and I can duplicate the error and fix on my machine, then I immediately upload a new version of the same beta to the same place. I only overwrite beta files when there is a serious problem with the older version meaning no one should download them. - If someone finds an error I cannot duplicate on my machine, or if I am not sure if I have found a complete fix, then I do not upload a beta until I am reasonably sure the problem is fixed by having people reporting the problem test it. In this case, I only upload the relevant file for them to test, normally the exe. When a fix is found, I will normally do a new beta; although in some cases I am also replace the existing beta. In this case, I do not post a new announcement normally, but I suspect I should, so that people who do not read all the bug issues will no of the new version of the beta. I will do this from now on.
