You're right, the skin's a leftover of my experiments. Originally I
didn't want to use Nconvert for canvas at all (and I still intend not do
if I can do it without), and I've tried to keep the button at a fixed
size of 200x150, even for a narrow or flattish image like 200x10.
Without a skin, I had 2 choices:
- Use fixed size for the bar. PP then just tiles the image all over.
- Use fixed size for the button. PP tiles the image as before.
So I've created a skin hoping I could overcome this. Then I delved into
the external apps stuff so I wasn't thinking about the skins much.

Honestly, I didn't like the windows port of IM as I like the
*nix-version. Too bulky and slow for my taste. But I'll give it a try once.
