Uhm, why? Maybe there's a misunderstanding and we are talking about 
different things. If so, sorry for that. The article:

shows exactly what I mean, when I say alpha-transparency. OK it's C++ 
with MFC and all, but a compiled exe comes with the source, when you 
download it. You can take a PNG with alpha then and use it as window 
background and drag it over other windows with full alpha transparency.
That's exactly what I meant.
Just to make it clear, I did not want to cause unnecessary work and 
trouble for you. I remember I had asked for PNG-support some time ago 
and you said: "Too much work", so I was quite surprised that you 
wanted to implement it now...
