Sean, are you going to take a crack at a magnifier script, too? If that's still in your list of interesting projects, may I suggest one area of investigation where current magnifying little tools are weak, that is, updating typed text as it's being entered at the keyboard. I've seen utilities that try to do this, but they're generally very slow. I don't know if serious programs for vision impaired users can do it better, perhaps. Microsoft IntelliMouse site shows a demo that's just what I mean, they're showing a zoomed in Excel cell where the user is actually typing in numbers.
Perhaps you'd need to write such thing in C directly, even though the speed of your ColorZoomer script shows that PowerPro + dll plugin can run fast indeed.
