Ahhh... that was relatively painless! It requires an if/endif prolog
but if I don't comment it, it is hardly even noticeable (just kidding).

I can't remember the details because it has been years since I was
bumbling around in the Window's network API but Windows doesn't keep
track of the drive mount state for network attached devices,
subsequent to the boot. Obviously, however, an explicit drive mounted
API call forces Windows to update it's flags... for which I am
profoundly grateful.
