brucexs, I must not have explained my problem well enough. The problem always occurs. Let me do this via a scenario to explain:
Say I have 2 desktops (1, 2) I have a window in 1 and in 2. If I have the window in 1 selected(activate) and I switch to desktop 2 and then back the window in Desktop 1 stays selected. However if when I switch to desktop 2 and select (activate) the window in Desktop 2 and then switch back to Desktop 1. The window in Desktop 1 is no longer selected . Event if it's the only window that is active. It doesn't appear that PowerPro is making any attempt to select the window, it seems that that it's only tracking one active window for all desktops. Now to your other question I am using keys to change desktops. IE- ALT-1,2,3,4 to switch desktops. I use the KeyTrap module to do this since the built in PowerPro key macros don't appear to be able to map holding the key down as a key. For example I wanted to be able to hold alt and cycle through 1,2,3,4 desktops without releasing the alt key. However it doesn't actually change the desktop until I release the alt. KeyTrap has been able to do this, but I wanted to mention it in case it helps. As for your questions on the virtual desktop setup: The following ones are checked: Move window to current desktop if switch to when active applies when it is launched Exclude zero-sized windows from processing Keep Taskbar button order (XP and later only) Save vdesk contents for recovery after crash I am using PowerPro 4.6 rc 1currently. Is it possible to make a command the would select (activate) the foremost window? Since this would be the window on top it would most likely be the last one in use. I could then implement this under the desktop switch. I appreciate any help you can offer. I love what I see in this product and the way you've made it so minimal impact on system memory too. However I need my virtual desktops I work with dozens of Putty windows and it's impossible to work without more than a desktop. Does it fail consistently for you or only sometimes. If only sometimes, can you see a pattern? Which items are checked on configure|desktops| setup. How do you switch desktops?
