I found also another function, which is documented this time. It's just slilently downloading the file without popping up the save dialog box. However, it'll return only after the downloading is finished, and need extra manipulation to get the progress bar. So, it may be handier when downloading small files. Of course, you can use net pugin or dll plugin instead, utilizing wininet functions.
