dont recall if i have posted about this, but recently rmx automation went open source. before that it was a plugin for programs like winamp and foobar2000 and a for pay stand alone.
its specifically the stand alone thats interesting. i ended up using it instead of the multimedia keys plugin for powerpro (that i used because powerpro didnt register the keys). reason for the change was that i have found that said plugin at times made my keyboard useless. i had to unplug the keyboard (usb) to make it come back to life. and even then the multimedia keys may no longer work. with rmx automation this is no longer a problem. one problem right now with using powerpro and rmx automation in combo is that you have to base it around keyboard combos as rmx cant send powerpro commands directly, nor can it do commandline switches... but i have "talked" to the original creator of rmx and voiced my wish for a way to have these two interact better. here is the program: http://rmx.sf.net
