See help index position bar|screen edge positions, if you want the
bar to force other windows away from its edge. If you just want the
bar at the edge but on top of other windows, use fixed position and
select one of the options (eg top center, bottom left etc).

To have all buttons the same size, configure|bar properties,
check "same size", set height on that dialog tab, set width of first
button, leave all other heights and widths zero.

To get grid you can do either of the following:
A. Check Bar size from sum of buttons and add format newbarrow
commands at end of rows.
or B. Uncheck Bar size form sum of buttons, check 3d sizing, OK out
of configuration, drag bar border to desired height/width.

YOu can drop file names to to either process (left drag) or configure
(right drag). See drag and drop in help index. You cannot drag from
buttons, although you possibly could get the same effect by pressing
a button to sent keys or put something on the clipboard and paste.

True, but try to describe what you want to accomplish, rather than a
feature, and there may be a way to do it already.
