I experimented with Menu Showfile extsort.txt and no matter what I did I
ended up with a menu that covered my entire screen in which some of the
extention headings were in columns with other headings. The Showfile
options are not as extensive as are the Folder options so I did
something else.

I created a Recent directory in the Powerpro Folder using info from
extsort.txt file and created Folders for various File types and copied
the various Recent shortcuts into their filetype folder. I uploaded
some screenshot images of the menu I ended up with in the Photo Gallery

<http://tech.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-pro/photos/browse/5209>

I used the windows association description for Folder names with
exception of Image files Folder which has multiple file types in it (
the second screenshot shows that menu). I limited the number of
shortcuts in each folder to 10 and only made a Folder if there were 2
or more shortcuts of a type (single shortcuts of a type are at bottom
of menu).

I did this all manually and am working on a method to script it so that
the info from Recent directory can be copied and updated to Powerpro
which will leave Recent directory as is. I would also like to add a
button in each folder that would delete the Folder (sort of a clear menu
funtion)
